Big news! We’re expanding the radio show — again. Recently we renamed the radio show you’re used to – YOUR LIFE AFTER TRAUMA – and have now titled it, CHANGING DIRECTION. Don’t worry, we’re still covering everything you need to know about how to move forward in your life after trauma. In addition, we’ll be broadening the content to address more topics about rebuilding your life and changing direction from trauma to triumph.
Now we’re expanding the show from once to twice a week. In an effort to bring you even more ideas for how to redefine who you are and reclaim how you live, we’ll now have two shows, each 30 minutes long on Mondays and Wednesdays, 2pm EST/11am PST.
It can be difficult for the average, everyday person to understand us at times. Trying to relate to what we’ve been through or continually supporting us through what seems to be an endless maze of emotions, trials, and battles. Many people, on top of attempting to process their trauma, through it all, experience the loss of friend or family support at some level. And, if we experience this, negativity is compounded. Sometimes, it becomes so overwhelming that we aren’t sure where to turn or who we can trust. Sometimes…yes, sometimes…trauma survivors believe that the only option is a final end. Other trauma survivors find a way to make it through, dig deep, and use their personal experience to break through what was once an impenetrable wall of despair, and find themselves empowering others to do the same.
My guests are those kinds of people. This week on Changing Direction I will be chatting with Andrew O’Brien and Laura King . My first guest, Andrew O’Brien is a combat veteran who not only has lived to share his suicide attempt with the world, but has used his experience to found Welcoming Your Soldier Home Project. It is an organization dedicated to teaching families about how to help their returning soldier. My second guest is a certified hypnotist and founder of Summit Dynamics, LLC. Laura is sought after by Olympians, leading edge CEO’s, public figures, professional athletes, prominent physicians, award-winning trainers and parents. She is dedicated to helping people in their healing journey. To learn more about the show and see our guests, click here.
