Healing Thought of the Week: You are Growing

Sometimes, the wisest things about recovery are said the most simply. In his foreword to my PTSD recovery memoir, Dr. Alex Pattakos writes: 

You can change without growing but you can’t grow without changing.

We don’t often talk about posttraumatic growth, but the truth is, trauma does cause you to grow in deeply important ways. Have you taken a moment to think about the new tools, skills, resources and ideas you’ve developed since that past event?
