Simple Way To Calm Stress and Balance Emotional Energy

hands-WesleySze-flickr.jpg

Using the ancient Japanese touch therapy called Jin Shin Jyutsu can help us manage stress and balance our emotional energy.

Each of our five fingers is energetically connected to specific body organs and emotions. By gently stimulating the energy meridians in our fingers, we can quickly and easily reap the positive benefit of this energy practice.

Directions

To stimulate this harmonizing energy, simply hold the finger corresponding to the emotion you wish to calm - or the organ that needs healing - with your other hand. You need only hold the finger for three to five minutes while breathing deeply.

The thumb corresponds to:

  • the emotions and attitudes of worry, depression, and anxiety.
  • the stomach and spleen organs.
  • the physical symptoms of stomach aches, headache, nervousness, and skin problems.

The index finger corresponds to:

  • the emotions and attitudes of fear, frustration, and mental confusion.
  • the kidney and bladder organs.
  • the physical symptoms of digestive issues, wrist, elbow, and upper arm discomfort, back and muscle aches, addictions, and teeth or gum problems.

The middle finger corresponds to:

  • the emotions and attitudes of anger, irritability, and indecisiveness.
  • the liver and gall bladder organs.
  • the physical symptoms of vision or eye problems, migraines, fatigue, menstrual cramps, frontal headaches, and circulation problems.

The ring finger corresponds to:

  • the emotions and attitudes of sadness, grief, fear of rejection, and negativity.
  • the lung and large intestine organs.
  • the physical symptoms of digestive and respiratory problems, ringing in the ears, and deep skin conditions.

The little finger corresponds to:

  • the emotions and attitudes of low self-esteem, over doing it, insecurity, nervousness, and being judgmental.
  • the heart and small intestine organs.
  • the physical symptoms of bone or nerve issues, heart problems, blood pressure, bloating, and sore throat.

To harmonize your entire body, hold each of your five fingers - on both hands - for a few minutes each.
