‘The Depression Project’ Documentary

The Depression Project challenges society's negative view of mental health problems by emphasizing how common these issues are and proving that many who suffer from them are “just as normal as everybody else.” The creator of this short documentary interviewed a clinical psychologist as well as a mental health advisor, the disabled students’ officer, and two students at the University of Birmingham to get a better understanding of depression and bipolar disorder. The video was shown as part of the university's Mental Health Awareness Week and is currently being used within the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) as a training tool.
